Good idea. May crack if heated to fast. We zip tie or tape a hair dryer to a ladder at the right height about a foot or more away and move on to other things.

I have a pressure valve like this and I just released the pressure for the first time in 20 months and water comes out of the top of valve as well as outside. But only when pulling the valve. Is it normal for water to come out of the top as well? As i didn't see it happen when you did it.

I removed the outer door handle and now the lock was removed I could turn the latch with a butter knife! All this time someone just needed something to push that button and then use a knife to open my front door 💀

Thank you! I didn’t know about the final removal of the spool which was what was causing my issues. I tried multiple different tools (hex / allen key / flat head screw driver etc) which didn’t work. I have an older Dyson V7 Animal and bought a Torx T9 T (the T denoting its tamper proof 🤷‍♀️)which was the only tool that could get that screw out. It came in a set of Torx keys with a T8, T10 and T15 which another site said could be used on the later models. I couldn’t find the handled version like the one in this video and the key version worked but was fiddly. Some of the handles of the Torx tool kits were also not the right size (handle too large or Torx bit not long / skinny enough to fit the spool). Getting the right little tool was challenging 😅 but my trusty old Dyson head now works again and well worth it thank you!

I found if your in an older house with hardwood the dark brown tannins come through onto the ceiling with a water leak. Go the Yellow Oil based Zinsser with 2 coats m then 2 coats of ceiling paint for these dark stains, works a treat!
